Change History

Change History is an audit tool that keeps a record of all changes made to items in a specific module (especially like Detailed Budget). It allows you to transparently track who made what change and when.

Accessing Change History

1

Go to the Relevant Module

For example, go to the Detailed Budget page.
2

Click the History Icon

Click the History (history) icon in the toolbar in the top right corner.

Interface and Functions

The window that opens presents a list of changes in a table format.
  • User: Shows the user who made the change.
  • Action: Indicates the type of action performed (Create, Update, Delete).
  • Document: Shows the ID of the budget item where the change was made. You can click it to go to the relevant row.
  • Date: Shows when the change was made.
  • Details: You can see the details of the change by clicking the Eye (eye-outline) icon.
This window presents a side-by-side comparison of the “before” and “after” states of a change:
  • Field: Indicates which field was changed (e.g., “Original Budget”).
  • Old Value: Shows the value before the change.
  • New Value: Shows the new value after the change.
This tool is crucial for tracking all movements on the budget, identifying potential errors, and ensuring coordination among team members.
